How to set it up this week
Open one or two free checking or savings accounts (many online banks have no fees or minimums).
Ask your employer to split your direct deposit, or set up automatic transfers the day after payday.
Move every bill's autopay to the Bills account.
Give it one full month. Most people are shocked how much calmer money feels when each dollar already has a home.
